Rick Borden has spent 50 years in the investment business, the first 20 on Wall Street trading desks, trading municipal bonds at Wells Fargo, mortgages at Salomon Brothers, and providing capital for non-investment grade companies and private equity transactions at Drexel Burnham. He developed an institutional capital raising effort for the Los Angeles real estate firm Douglas Emmett, co-founded the mortgage REIT Redwood Trust, raised capital to invest in Russia for Tradewinds Financial, and ran business development on the West Coast for the private equity company Hamilton Lane. For the last twelve years, Rick has been in the wealth management business, providing clients with low-cost, tax-efficient, and evidence-based investment solutions.
